SMA School Policies

Discrimination Policy:

The schools of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany base not only their education purpose, but all their activities on the Christian teaching of the essential quality of all persons as rooted in the fatherhood of God, Christ's love and supernatural destiny. Thus, with the discrimination so repugnant to their nature and mission, Catholic schools in this Diocese have not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, natural or ethnic origin in administration of educational policies, and all school administered programs.

Code of Conduct:

The Code of Conduct is adopted by the School Board of St. Mary’s Academy pursuant to and in
compliance with the requirements of Project SAVE and §100.2(l) of the Regulations of the
Commissioner of Education.

The Code defines the School Boards expectations for conduct on St. Mary’s Property and at
School functions (on or off property) based on these accepted principles. It also identifies the
range of penalties for unacceptable conduct. Unless otherwise indicated, this Code applies to the
conduct of students, employees, student’s parents and other visitors committed on School
Property, at a school function, or those otherwise affecting the School’s spiritual and educational
program.
