Bradley and Wysocki Lead St. Mary’s Academy

St. Mary’s Academy Girls basketball continues to put forth competitive teams despite the small school size. SMA’s strength of providing a well rounded education for youth incorporate not only character building and the highest quality academics but also great competition on the court.

Co-captains Mckenzie Bradley and Anna Wysocki have kept the tradition strong as they have molded a team with strong friendships and skill. They have shown great leadership and determination as they lead by example and build camaraderie. Anna Wysocki is the team’s leading scorer as well as a valuable ball handler. Mckenzie Bradley’s tough defense and reliable rebounding has proven to be critical to the team’s success. These eighth grade students have accomplished this while participating in Odessey of the Mind Competition and carrying the course load of four high school classes.

Rounding out the team are seventh graders Madeleine Atherton, Nora Brown and Julia Helft, Sixth graders Noreen McAuliffe, Daisy Perez and Stephanie Merwin. The team is currently 4-3 and have upcoming games with Catholic High School, Mt. Anthony, Grace Christian, Arlington and Dorset.
