St. Mary’s Academy recently held its annual learning fair to the delight of students, parents and community members. The learning fair showcases exceptional work that involves research, organization, presentation skills and a high level of learning.
Pre-K through 8th grade students demonstrated their extensive knowledge and skills through projects and experiments on a variety of exciting topics. This year’s learning fair included student constructed projects such as, robots, wind turbines and roller coasters. Experiments included studies on human senses, organic food and guinea pig learning.
For the first time in the 8 year history of the fair, celebrity judges chose students from grades 5 – 8 to represent SMA in the inaugural diocesan science fair in April. The names of the students and their projects will be announced during the week of February 13. The selected students will take their projects on the road and compete against students from area schools.
